Whitstable Rocks Oyster Festival 2022
We are thrilled to bring you a weekend to celebrate Whitstable’s and WOFCo’s historic and cultural connection with Oysters and the support of the WOFA (Whitstable Oyster Festival Association).
Whitstable Rocks Oyster Festival will take place in and around the East Quay Venue and Long Beach.
Across the Saturday and Sunday you will find a number of food stalls, a small music stage and festival bar with a selection of craft ales in the Grading Shed adjacent to the East Quay.
The Whitstable Rocks Oyster Festival stays true to its quintessential Kentish origins, catering to all families and varied tastes. See you there!

Saturday & Sunday adjacent to the east quay venue you will find a brand new space to explore in The Grading Shed!
With street food, a craft beer festival bar, live music and DJs at the grading shed there is something for everyone.

Oyster Farm Tour by the Whitstable Oyster Company
From shore to shuck! As part of the Whitstable Rocks Oyster Festival 2022, Join the Whitstable Oyster Trading Company for an experience like no other, exploring the oyster beds with an experienced oyster farmer.
Follow the tide out with one of their knowledgeable farmers to explore the wondrous industry that provides some of the most sustainable forms of protein production. Under the care of your guide you will become familiar with the process of oyster farming in Whitstable Bay.
The experience doesn’t stop there! After the tour is completed we invite you to sit back, enjoy the vista whilst sipping on some bubbles alongside a taste of the world renowned Pacific Rock Oysters grown in the very waters that produce their characteristic flavour.
These small group tours will be led by one of the Whitstable Oyster Fishery Company’s very own Oyster farmers, the experts. Wellies and waterproofs are recommended but not essential.
Join the Whitstable Oyster Trading Company for an experience like no other, exploring the oyster beds with an experienced oyster farmer.
Should you wish to continue your experience, the tour will be followed by a tour of the packing facilities and tank rooms taking place from midday to 4pm.
Whitstable Rocks Oyster Festival presents The Cuban Brothers!
Saturdays festivities in Whitstable culminates at the East Quay Venue.
Join us all weekend (Friday 16th to 18th) in Whitstable to celebrate Whitstable’s historic and cultural connection with Oysters. Activities for adults and children alike will be available to participate in or watch predominately for free throughout the days, including, but not limited to, the mud tug, the blessing of the oysters, grotter building, chalky-chalk and crabbing.
Food stalls, festival bar and music can be enjoyed at The Shed throughout the day for free and on Saturday the 17th, once night falls head over to the East Quay Venue to enjoy local legends and unrivalled party starters ‘The Cuban Brothers’ (This event is 18+ and tickets are required).
For those who don’t know them ,The Cuban Brothers are an act ingrained with pop culture, known world over for their risqué sketches, B-boy moves and funk fuelled music.
Tickets for the Treasure Hunt at Whitstable Castle are available on the door, whilst tickets for the Oyster Farm Tour by the Whitstable Oyster Company and The Cuban Brothers live at the East Quay are available from our authorised ticket partner.
