At the heart of the Whitstable Rocks Oyster Festival is the Whitstable Oyster Festival Association (WOFA) — the passionate team working year-round to preserve and promote Whitstable’s rich maritime heritage and community spirit, committed to ensuring that this cherished event stays true to its roots while continuing to grow.
WOFA isn’t just an organiser — it’s a community. And we’d love for you to be part of it.
Volunteer roles include:
- Event setup and breakdown at The Grading Shed and Long Beach
- Assisting with festival activities & competitions
- Supporting the WOFA team throughout the weekend

It’s locals vs. visitors in the ultimate showdown.
Eat six oysters, down half a pint, and race to the finish. Finalists face off with a pint and a dozen to decide the winner!
